Home Service Pro: a training workbook people actually fill in

A training workbook for home service professionals, designed for a reader who is holding a pen.

The challenge

A workbook that reads like a brochure gets read once and filed. This one had exercises in it, and nothing in the layout told the reader where they were meant to write, or which parts were reference and which were work.

The approach

Two treatments, kept apart all the way through: reference pages are dense and calm, exercise pages are open, ruled and clearly theirs to mark up. Section colour tells you at a glance where you are in the programme.

Outcome

• Laid out for print, with room to write on every exercise page
